I’m Alex, I’m a native English speaking web designer with a background in marketing, based in Barcelona. I offer professional web design services to small businesses in Spain, elevating their brand and captivating their audience.

I am fluent in English, Spanish and French and understand Catalan. As a native English speaker I can translate Spanish, French or Catalan content to English so you reach a wider audience.
I can also translate English content to Spanish, using a native speaker to do the final check.
THE NAME
Webísimo is the combination of an English word and a Spanish suffix. It represents the fusion of two cultures and reflects my unique approach as a web designer. The suffix “ísimo” denotes intensity, and by adding it to “web”, I want to convey the idea that the websites I design are exceptional.

After living for more than 20 years in Spain my level of fluency is high enough to translate English content to Spanish, using a native speaker to do the final check.

MY STORY
BEFORE
Originally from the UK my first career was in tourism. I participated in a graduate training scheme for the Thomson Holidays group. Over the course of three years, I gained invaluable experience working in various departments, including marketing, product, pricing, contracts, and brochure creation. It was during this time that I had the privilege of being part of a small team that conceptualized the architecture of the company’s groundbreaking website, enabling clients to book holidays online for the first time!
On completion of the graduate training scheme I was promoted to the role of Product and Contracts Manager for the south of Spain.
My experience across a range of departments within a large company has helped me to understand the business needs of my clients, enabling me to assist them in effectively presenting themselves to potential clients via their websites.
MY STORY
AFTER
When I moved to Spain I made a bold career change pursuing my passion for photography and design. I studied photography and Photoshop at Gris Art School of photography. Eager to expand my horizons, I went on to study graphic design and web design.
I joined Machinas, a prominent design studio, as a junior designer. I progressed to the role of senior designer and ultimately served as art director for their biggest client Esprit. Leading a talented team of 7 designers I contributed to numerous projects, witnessing the company’s remarkable growth from 17 employees to over 100 during my 10 years there.
Now, I have decided to embark on a new chapter as a freelancer, offering my extensive expertise to small businesses and freelancers. With a comprehensive skill set encompassing graphic design, Photoshop mastery, and web design and a background in marketing I am committed to delivering exceptional results that elevate your brand and captivate your audience.
